Background

Kurn was born on Coruscant, a child of privilege and wealth. When he was a teenager, he and some friends went joyriding down into the lower levels of the city. He became separated from his comrades, but the lost young man was rescued by a near-human girl named Keema. She showed him around and soon he was utterly charmed by her. He returned to the lower levels often to see her. But when his family found out, they forbade the relationship, and laid an ultimatum upon him: leave Keema or leave this family. Kurn sent Keema a holo-recording, ending their affair. The very next day, he enlisted in the Imperial Army to get away from his family and bury his guilt.
