Background

Born on a spacer cruiser Jodia's feet never touch actual terrain for very long. Even when she is planet side she is usually in a racing pod or speeder. She's been Pod-racing since she was 10. When she was 18 she won a ship of some local gambler because he couldn't believe a human could beat his racer. Her parents were proud to let her go her own way and they gave her Toolo, the family droid. Mostly it was an excuse to get rid of the cantankerous droid and get a newer more pleasant model. Jodia was happy to have Toolo. She loved his grumpy bolts.

Toolo and Jodia traveled the galaxy. Making quite the name for herself in racing she put on quiet the flashy bravado. So flashy that no one expects her to be a smuggler on the down low. The smuggling transactions are often covered up in wagers on the racing front.

She was at a speeder race in <Planet> when she suddenly she was thrust into the Rebel Initiative. A rebel spy hired her for her smuggling and piloting skills to help him infiltrate an Imperial Base to steal plans….

Overconfident Major The character never wants to retreat from a challenge. It's not a suicidal tendency, but this character certainly takes on more than common sense dictates.
Arrogant Major Winning just isn’t enough for this character. They must completely dominate their opponents. Arrogant characters always look for the “boss” in battle, attacking lesser minions only if they get in the way.

(Force-Sensitive)
Background This character is Force-sensitive, and may purchase the Control, Sense, and Alter skills. Begin each session with only three Bennies. The character gains the prescience power, and is susceptible to the Dark Side.
Spacer Professional Spacers gain +2 to Knowledge (Star Systems) rolls, as well as to any Common Knowledge rolls to locate spaceports, shipyards, or repair bays. In addition, spacers automatically gain fluency in the Bocce language.
Smuggler Professional Smugglers add +2 to Persuasion, Piloting, and Stealth when used in opposed rolls against authority figures.
Ace Professional Aces add +2 to Driving and Piloting rolls. They may spend Bennies to make Soak rolls for any vehicle they control. This is a Driving or Piloting roll at –2 (canceling their usual +2). Each success and raise negates a wound and any critical hit that would have resulted from it.
Strong Willed Social Add +2 to Intimidation and Taunt rolls, as well as when resisting Test of Wills attacks.
Luck Background The character is blessed with good fortune. Draw one extra Benny at the beginning of each game session.
Great Luck Background As Luck, but the player draws two extra Bennies instead of one at the start of each session.

Those with an affinity for the Force can often see events moments before they occur. This equips them with a kind of danger sense and short-term precognition. Anytime a Force-sensitive character is about to be the victim of a surprise attack, ambush, or other nasty surprise, he gets a Notice roll at -2 just before the attack or event occurs to foresee the event. This means he is on Hold for the first round of combat. In addition, during any round, the character may choose to be considered on Hold instead of using the Action Card he is dealt. However, paying attention to this prescience can be distracting, and imposes a -2 penalty on any actions taken that round.
