Background

RC-3055 was created on the world of Kamino. One of millions of clone troopers, designed from the genetic template of Jango Fett, to be deployed in the Grand Army of the Republic.

Initially, all went according to plan. As an officer, RC-3055 excelled and rose quickly through the ranks, achieving captain shortly before he was listed as missing in action.

In those early days, RC-3055 belonged to a special strike force of clone commandos: Zeta Squad. They specialized in high-risk offensive actions, and as such, had a Jedi General specially attached to their unit to help carry out their missions. The Jedi in question was originally Master Fen Dunassic. Like many Jedi, he had a habit of giving names to the otherwise serial-numbered clone troopers. He called RC-3055 "Caiden," apparently the name of a fallen Jedi that he said the clone reminded him of. It was a notion that RC-3055 found ridiculous, since that should mean all clones would remind him of the Jedi Caiden, but he accepted the name with grace.

Normally I would never trust this roguish pirate. But Corso did some privateer work for the Republic a while back, getting Zeta Squad access to a ship we could otherwise not have boarded. He's still a greedy opportunist, but he's shown himself to be a man of his word. As long as he can see the profit in an association with us, I think he'll continue helping us. Perhaps he'll eventually realize that the greater profit is in seeing the downfall of this fledgling Empire.

Loyal Minor Loyal characters would give their lives for their friends. They can never leave a man behind if there’s any chance at all they could help.
Quirk Minor Your hero has some minor foible that is usually humorous, but can occasionally cause trouble. Caiden compulsively checks and cleans his weapons and equipment, making sure they're in good working order. It can make him seem a little paranoid (he is), and he's made a few people nervous when he pulls out his gun in inappropriate settings.
Wanted Major The character is wanted for Caiden is a wanted fugitive, for treasonous acts against the Empire (protecting a Jedi who was to be executed by Order 66).

  • Katarn-class Commando Armor: Katarn-class commando armor was used by Republic commandos during the Clone Wars. It was named after the predatory animal from Kashyyyk. Several iterations of the armor have been produced, but all have certain qualities in common. Katarn armor provides better protection than standard clone trooper armor, due to the special composition and novel chemical properties of its Duraplast armor plates.
