Lady Wilde
Portrait of Sarah Connolly
Portrayed by Erica Durance
Name: Sarah Connolly
Aliases: Lady Wilde
Rank: Field Correspondent
Heritage: American (Irish)
Birthplace: New York City, New York
Occupation: Muckraker
Affiliation: Tombstone Epitaph

Born to The Connolly's, of the New York Connolly's. A highly influential family, as they owned and published one of the greater, highly reputable newspapers in the New York area. This afforded Sarah a great education and she did not take it for granted. The thing that she prided herself on the most was that her family's paper got out 'The Truth'! Often her stories and articles on this social event and that would make it into the paper. Always though there was a sense that she could do /more/.

While it feels like it was a lifetime ago, it was only a few years ago when she was on the train to visit a school chum in Yonkers when she took the seat of a mother and her son that had just vacated. The son had left behind what he had read on their trip behind on the seat, 'The Tombstone Epitaph', curious as to what sort of publication it was she read it front page to back page in the span of the train trip.

She shocked and horrified her school chum with all the retelling of the remarkable, whimsical, horrific stories that she had read in the Epitaph. Sarah was almost immediately a huge fan of the publication. Lacy O'Malley, a journalist for the Epitaph became her hero and idol. The way he wrote about the /real/ truth of the West had Sarah in awe. When she returned home and shared her new found source of knowledge her family laughed it off as some girlish whimsy. Her brother teased that she was just in love with Lacy (not too far from the truth) so she'd believe anything he put his pen to. This ridicule and belittling continued for nearly a whole year before Sarah had enough.

Packing her things after some correspondence with the Epitaph, Sarah had made the decision to move to Tombstone, Arizona where she would write about the terrifying truth of The West. To show her family that not only did she have the talent and 'chops' to be a front page journalist, but also that the things they chortled and scoffed at were in fact very real.

Worst Nightmare

Hands chopped, tongue removed, eyes plucked out, ear drums pierced. All stuffed with straw and twigs. But some how despite all her injuries she is still aware of things around her. The true part of the nightmare is that she is aware, but not able to communicate or report on it.

Darren Conrad

Darren Conrad

Dime Novel Hero

Darren is the hero and main focus of the series of stories she was tasked to write for the Epitaph. When she agreed to do this, Wilde never imagined that she would actually be a shotgun wielding, camera flashing, kick some monsters back to hell side-kick that she has become. It is being at Darren (and now Pete too)'s side that makes her feel like she can do these things she never imagined she'd ever be doing. The trio of them have been through a great deal, and even though they might fight and squabble at times about what to do, or how to do it, it goes to show in her eyes that they are meant to be doing this, together because they are still alive so that she can tell the tale.

Handsome Pete

Handsome Pete

El Diablo

The man who replaced Johnny Firehorse as a guide and extra trigger finger sort. She feels sorry for him it's big shoes to fill and he gets a bit of the 'newbie' treatment from Wilde and Darren. Wilde might be a bit sorrier for it if Pete wasn't such a surly crude tries too hard to put the bad before his ass - ass. He's good with a gun and he's become part of the group over time. He's an ugly cur, but he's their ugly cur. Now Lady Wilde doesn't quite know what they would do without Pete around. The (stench) scent of laudanum and cigars a familiar and almost dare say, comforting scent. There is that sense of foreboding that much like Cole, he'll eventually just take his cut and go. Particularly now that he knows that Spider Demon isn't after him any more.

Professor Lazarus

Professor Lazarus

Everything she stands against, Lazarus makes a living off of! Deceit and lies and long tale telling. Snake oil salesman! Cad! Con artist! — (Charming, intelligent, caring…) While she believes in the truth being open and accessible to everyone with a mind to listen, Lady Wilde will deny to her dying breath that while in Ireland she actually missed the Horrid Bamboozler! If he ever does get wind that she's actually quite fond of him now…she'll have to turn the (charming) little snake into oil and put it into one of his bottles and make a profit off of it herself.

Lacy O'Malley

Lacy O'Malley

While she realizes it's rather (creepy) silly, as she hasn't even met the man. Lacy O'Malley is her hero and if it weren't for him she wouldn't be living the amazingly crazy life she is today. While she doesn't believe in arranged marriages, if it was Lacy on the line, she'd happily glide down the alter. She knows she's a fanatic, but at least she isn't a crazy fanatic that actually truly thinks she'll one day marry the adventurer journalist.

John Clum

John Clum

The Boss

The level of respect she has for this man and what he's trying to do with the limited resources afforded to him is immeasurable.

Petunia Harmon

Petunia Harmon

Sweet Flower

Can't put to words the level of happy Lady Wilde is that there is another woman involved in their little motley now. Wilde also looks forward to doing girly things with Petunia, like brunches and sewing time. Most importantly though, Lady Wilde can't wait to help with wedding plans. After all, Darren's gotta make an honest woman out of Petunia. If he doesn't she doesn't know what she'll do, her esteem damaged, possibly beyond repair. But she knows that Darren is a good honorable man. They are just the most perfect couple she's ever had the pleasure of knowing too! This pair deserve a happy ending!

Carson Cole

Carson Cole

Mysterious, Manly, Capable… everything that can give Wilde goosebumps. There could have been something, he could have been someone she'd tell her grandchildren about - hell they might have been his grandchildren too! But Lady wasn't Wilde and chickened out. Good thing too, he truly was just interested in getting the reward for his help with the Ghostriders Gang and leaving. She doubts she'll ever see or hear from the mysterious wanderer again. But she's sure the next time she's dangling out of a second story window, or smell the stench of bad cigars she'll think of him.
